Born to hard working parents, Alexandria is slightly eccentric. She dresses oddly and just likes to be different. One day, a traveling Chinese Monk visited the town. He was gathering information about a sword that shone in the brightest of blue. Naturally, no one in town would listen to the ramblings of an old man, but they were nice enough to show hospitality. He stayed, for two years, near Alex's abode. They grew into close friends, finding ways to talk until midnight. Eventually, the old monk taught Alex the sword, so that she may cut her own path though fate. After the first year, the rumors started about the two close friends. "Can you believe that people think I'm sleeping with you?" she had said once. After the second year, the rumors grew more serious. They were accused of witchcraft, a serious crime in the town. The town eventually crescendoed into a violent riot and forced Alex and the monk out of town. Now this young, eccentric woman of 17 must find a way to live, armed with only an unnamed sword and her wits. *
